George Tamaro joined MRCE in 1980, where he was a Partner from 1983 through 2006. He is now a Consultant for the firm and actively participates in many projects. He possesses extensive design and field experience in the construction of foundations and superstructures.
George has been an innovator in the field of slurry wall construction and its application in foundations and protection of existing structures, as well as use of slurry cut off walls for containment of groundwater. He lectures internationally on the subject, and he holds several patents for slurry wall construction techniques in US and Canada.
Prior to joining MRCE, he served nine years as VP and Chief Engineer of ICOS Corporation of America and eleven years as Staff Engineer with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
