Ms. Korff graduated in 1999 in Civil Engineering at the Delft University of Technology. She is employed by GeoDelft, now Deltares, currently working as Innovations Manager Business Development & GeoBrain. Since 2007 she has worked on a part-time PhD in Geotechnical Engineering at Cambridge University, on Deformations and Building Damage due to Deep Excavations in Soft Soils. |

Mandy is Vice-President for the Board of the Geotechnical Department of the Dutch Royal Institute of Engineers (KiVi) and a member of Editorial Board Dutch Geotechniek. She is a frequent lecturer on postacademic courses for deep excavations and pile foundations.
Important projects she has worked on are Strategic advisor for deep stations ‘Noord/Zuidlijn’, independent research on damage and repair of building pit in Middelburg, founder and member of Young European Large Geotechnical Institutes Platform, risk assessment projects for building pits for underground parkings, Advice on seepage and stability of dikes in Dead Sea area (for DSW), Randstadrail crossing shield tunnel with existing railway, research Delft Cluster Pipeline Infrastructure, foundation advice for Powerplant, Tunnel Betuweroute, underground Parkings (Venlo, Breda, The Hague) and research behaviour of hollow precast piles. |
