  The Canary Wharf Crossrail Station:
Crossrail will transform travel in London. The £16.9Billion project involves construction of a route length of 21km of twin bored tunnels connecting east and west London. A major station is being constructed at Canary Wharf to provide access to the growing community there. This station is being constructed by cut-and-cover in a dock, with tunnelled connections at either end of the new box. Construction started in April 2009 and should be well underway at the time of the conference with the steel Giken cofferdam having been drained and piling starting on the drained bottom of the dock. Attendance at this tour is extremely limited, so early booking is recommended to secure your place.
